Chateau De Chef

Last year I shot two of Los Angeles’s top chefs for Locale Magazine’s November issue. It was awesome to work with two men who have such a love and knowledge of food (one of my favorite things). Here are the tear sheets and images from that shoot.

Ian Gresik, the man in the top photos, is the Chef of an amazing Italian restaurant called Drago Centro in down town LA (I’ve been there once, it was absolutely heavenly). Aaron Robbins is the director of Culinary operations for a group of bad ass restaurants in LA. They were both such amazing people. We spent our time together talking food, family and life.

As always, if you guys have any questions about how these images were shot or anything like that, please feel free to ask.

Bryn Mooser for Conscious Magazine

A few months ago I photographed Bryn Mooser at Ryot News HQ in Venice, CA. Here are some of the images we shot together:

This was one of the spreads published in Conscious Magazine:

Bryn is one of the co-founders of Ryot News, an online news source that gives the reader the opportunity to take action in the story they are reading. If you’ve ever been reading a news story and thought “what can I do to help?” Ryot can show you exactly what you can do!

Make sure to go check out the whole story on and order your own print or digital copy.

Party time. excellent.

Lately there have been a lot of reasons to celebrate ! First and foremost, this silly blog turns two years old today! I want to give a big shout out to all of the people that follow me (over 500!!) and thank you all so so much for your continued support. It means the world to me and makes me so overwhelmingly happy that so many people are interested in my work and what I have to say. Two years ago I would have never thought I would be where I am now and I cannot even imagine where I will be in another two.

Secondly, I recently had a few of my shots from X Games published in a friend’s magazine! The mag is called Combobulate and it was an absolute honor to be included in their very first issue. Here are a few of the spreads:

Check out the whole mag online here. My shots are pages 8-22, but make sure to check out the whole thing because there is some stellar shit in there!

Thirdly, I recently did an interview and video for this really cool company called Animoto. They make it super easy to upload video clips, photos, and music to create your own dope little multi media videos. Watch my video and read the interview here!

Last but not least, I shot my first ad last week for Rockeresque Beauty Company. They are an amazing brand based in San Diego. All of their makeup is vegan and cruelty free, which is super dope and definitely something you wanna throw your money at. The shots have to stay secret for now, but I cannot wait to share them with you. They are adorable and sexy and gorgeous and all of things you want in a makeup ad! So keep your eye balls glued to the screen in anticipation for that!

In the meantime, make sure to to follow me on twitter, like my page on facebook and if you have a blog on tumblr, follow my new blog and share my work with your friends on tumblr!

Until Now

So, I never really thought of myself as one to write a blog, until recently. This is the first blog I have ever written, so here is a little bit to catch you up. March was a month of big changes and big opportunities. First, I had some work published in a Pan Oceanic sunglass magazine.

My shots are just the silhouettes in the background, but still cool to get some work out there and published in a magazine.

Next, I began an internship with Bo Bridges, a sports and landscape photographer. He is a really awesome guy and an extremely talented photographer.  I have only been interning for a month now, but I already feel like part of the family. I mostly retouch and put together sequences like the one below.

But I have also been assisting on as many shoots as possible. Recently, Bo did a shoot for AVP and Rockstar. I got a quick picture with some of the athletes that I think is pretty hilarious.

I look silly, but just the sheer size difference was insane. The one in the middle, had to duck to fit through the doors. I am so excited that I even got this opportunity to intern with Bo and hope to stay with the studio as long as possible. To see some more of Bo’s awesome work you should definitely visit his website:

So that is my crazy life right now; driving to Hermosa beach to intern 3 days a week, class 2 days, and work at the school library 2 days a week. Tomorrow is my only day off and I am hoping to shoot some sports photography of my own for a school project. The project is a three shot ad campaign and I am going to do some skateboarding. It will be my first time so I am studying up on some skateboarding magazine now, so hopefully they will turn out. Perhaps I will post them when they are done, so look out for that in the coming week. Keep checkin in and I will do my best to keep up on the riveting life and times of Olivia Bush.

Until next time…
