No Place Like Home

I’m originally from San Francisco and a few months ago I went up for a visit and shot at a few of my favorite locations in the city. It was a great day, here are the pictures:

Model: Adair with Look

Wardrobe: Joanna Andreoni

Hair and Makeup: Jonathan Reisfeld

And a big thank you to Citizen Chain and Breezer Bikes for the amazing bike used on the shoot!

I lived in San Francisco for most of my life, but this was my first time ever walking across the Golden Gate Bridge! It’s amazing the new experiences you can have and adventures you can go on with the help of your camera. I hope everyone has safe travels to where ever they call home this holiday and have a beautiful start to the new year!

As always, if you guys have any questions about how these images were shot or anything like that, please feel free to ask.

  10. Beautiful shots! Very vibrant. I love the last two. How did you play with light and exposure on those two? What kind of lens was used? I am just starting out with taking portraits outdoors and am baffled by the harsh light. So just wanted to know more about these perfect clicks.

    • Hello Rg,
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to hear you like my work. On the last two I over exposed and then brought back the blacks in photoshop. That’s how I shoot most of my back-lit stuff. My go to lenses are the 18-105 and a fixed 50. Instead of shooting in direct sunlight, try shooting in the afternoon or in the shadow of a building for softer light.
